Wind, Ringins and Shocks in Shellharbour!

Two years ago, the TriHards commenced the Paddy Pallin series with a single team. Last year they started with two teams: the Canberra TriHards and the Area51 (Sydney) TriHards. This year, we fielded three teams! If we keep going like this, in approximately 197 years, the race wll consist of only TriHards teams! That makes our aspirational goal of podium placement completely possible!

An Anthropological Study of the Adventure Racer!

Early in the morning of Saturday, 27 November 2011, highly qualified and skilled people from a reputable sporting manufacturer were ably led by another highly qualified and skilled team of adventure race organisers to the green fields of Glebe Park. Their mission was to tag and release some adventure racers such that they may study their migration patterns and social behaviours. And they were in luck, for they spied a troupe of TriHards exiting the coffee house and roaming the velte. Months, if not years, of preparation, training and persistence had finally paid off; they had finally beaten the Canberra TriHards in an AROC Paddy Pallin event. Subsequently shouts of jubilation could be heard from as far away as New Zealand, where McFly’s relatives put down their sheep and picked up their beers to toast their favourite son’s victory.

The TriHards go International!

The TriHards have been travelling to the Newcastle area to compete in the Paddy Pallin series for a few years now, so have gained a great deal of experience booking into accommodation and become familiar with the surrounds. Indeed, Father Brendan has moved up on a permanent basis to fulfil the role of TriHards Central Coast High Commissioner. Needless to say, with all this practice and familiarity with the area, the accommodation and logistics went off like clockwork, even considering the ever-expanding TriHards teams!

... Pity the same can’t be said for the races!
